Preparation
There is not yet a trainee manual that we can share with you, however, you can prepare yourself by checking out the Black Rock Ranger Manual, as it is the foundation of our training.
Make sure that you either have the Zoom app on your device or have tested Zoom with your web browser in advance. Ensure that it has the necessary permissions to be able to use your camera & microphone – this is a participatory session!
Plan to take this session at a location where you can:
- have a reliable internet connection
- focus on the material without distraction
- be on camera
- speak out loud
- possibly even move around.
You’re going to be handling scenarios as a Ranger and will need to speak & act accordingly. Imagine that you’re at an in-person training session – be present & participate.
What To Bring (to wherever you’re at)
- Notebook and pen
- Water bottle / cup
- A snack (we’re going to power right through the material)
Thank You, Ranger!
It takes a community to help make our events a compassionate and supportive place. Thank you, Ranger, you are so appreciated.
